Healing Properties
Obsidian is a volcanic glass formed naturally when lava is suddenly cooled. Linked to your lower chakras, obsidian provides grounding and protective energy. It can also be used for shadow work as it stimulates growth and pushes its user to face and resolve past traumas.
Silver sheen obsidian has a grayish iridescent luster. It is believed to sharpen the mind and help with rationale. This type of obsidian also mirrors your inner self, helping uncover areas of improvement and showing how others view you.
Golden sheen obsidian has a shimmery golden iridescence. While some use it for scrying, others use it in meditation and self-reflection. It is also used to heal deep wounds and cleanse your aura.
Obsidian occurs in several other colors including snowflake, mahogany, and rainbow.
